The Academy has instituted Merit-cum-Means Scholarships for new entrants wef AY 2011-12, which allows meritorious students with limited means to benefit from ‘world class education in Design & Fashion related streams’, on offer, at Pearl Academy of Fashion (all Centres). The Merit-cum-Means scholarship provides partial waiver of tuition fee for a maximum of 10% of new entrants each year. The scholarship granted in the first year continues in subsequent years on condition, that the student maintains prescribed standards of achievement.
The Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (New Entrants) awards tuition fee waiver in the following categories:-
Category-1 : 50% waiver of Tuition fee
Category-2 : 25% waiver of Tuition fee
Merit Criterion: For new enrollees - Performance in (10+2 examination / Graduation level), PAF Entrance examination – written test, GD /situation test / interview.
Means Criterion: Students whose Gross Annual Parental Income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 4,50,000/- are eligible to apply.
Additional weightage would be given to the following:-
A. Domicile Criteria: 20% of Scholarships will be reserved for domicile students.
1. PAF Jaipur – domicile in Rajasthan
2. PAF Chennai – domicile in Tamil Nadu
B. Students of single parents.
Hostel Facilities: PAF has subsidized hostel fee, transportation and mess charges.

The decision for award of Scholarships by the Academy’s Scholarship committee will be final & binding.
MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (ALL CENTRES)
The Academy has instituted a Merit Scholarship in each full time course (programme) with at least 25 enrollments at all Centre’s to the enrollee who registers the best performance through all pertinent admission tests and the interview, subject to minimum requirements of performance.
The Merit scholarship waives payment of tuition fee only. The waiver is granted in the first year and continues in the subsequent year(s) on the condition that the awardees academic performance in the first year meets the prescribed standards of achievement of Higher Second Class - UG and First Class - PG and there is no attendance or disciplinary proceedings against the student. Educational Loan facilitation is available to the awardees in the first year to cover other payable fee/charges.
The decision for award of Scholarships by the Academy’s Scholarship committee will be final & binding.
1. The Academy offers full/part scholarships to support needy students of all regular full time programmes. The scholarships are granted on an Annual basis and are limited to meritorious students whose joint Gross Annual Parental Income are below Rs. 4,50,000/- or to those with exceptional need based grounds.
2. The selection committee consisting of the representatives from the donor organizations will select the student on the basis of the following criteria:-
• All applicants within prescribed Annual Gross Parental Income limit of Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum are only to be considered for the grant of scholarship.
• Full scholarship will be considered for students who secure between First to Fifth rank (20% of cohort/batch) in their cohort, subject to fulfilling other criteria and fund availability.
• Part scholarship will be available for students who are ranked below 5th position up to a rank equivalent to 50% rank of the cohort, subject to fulfilling other criteria and fund availability.
• Those Scholarship Applications showing Parental / Joint Parental Gross Annual income more than Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum will not be considered.
3. Since the Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis based on availability of funds/corpus, all eligible students may apply irrespective of grant of scholarships in the previous year(s).
4. Students fulfilling the above conditions and desirous to avail scholarships should submit their applications in prescribed form (available at the Reception of main building/uploaded on our website www.pearlacademy.com) supported by original documents such as Attested copies of previous three financial years (2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11) – Income Tax return / Salary Certificate / Annual Income Declaration as proof of the annual income.
5. The applications complete in all respects and with all supporting documents should be submitted to the office of Group Registrar (Academics), PAF, New Delhi latest by May 16, 2011 for verification and acceptance. Application received after the prescribed date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
The decision for award of Scholarships by the Industry Scholarship committee will be final & binding.
